Baseball Bat Selection and Maintenance:
(I) Baseball Bat Size and Material:
1. Baseball Bat Size: Generally classified as below 24 inch.(for use of autographing or self-defense), 30 inch. to 32 inch. (for use of school children), and 34 inch. (for use of adults).
2. Baseball Bat Material: classified as Wooden Stick and Aluminum Stick.
(1) Wooden-Stick classified as - Solid Wood Stick and Composite Wood Stick.
Solid Wood Stick Material is composed by one single timber such as Maple, Green Wood, White Birch Wood...etc.
Composite Wood Stick Matereial is composed by multiple materials such as Composite Bamboo, Maple-Bamboo Stick...etc. However these are often restricted from using by professional players due to its structure is more flexible than any single material. However within the same batting condition, using that is easier to hit ball farther.
(2) Aluminum-Stick classified as - Single Material and Composite Material.
Single material is used by beginners for informal practices. Its material is easier to sink and sold cheap approximately below $1,000 TWD (also known as 60-series Aluminum-made Baseball Bat).
Composite Material contains Aluminum plus other composite metals such as Copper, Lead, and Magnesium. For formal game use, can choose Hard Baseball not easily sinked.
Often-seen Aluminum Alloy materials are 6061<9046<7050 carbon fiber.
(II) Differences betwen Baseball Bat and Softball Bat:
Baseball Bat Head's diameter is approximately, and its weight is approximately 850-920g(shorter and wider).
Softball bat head is narrower. Its diameter is approximately 57mm, and its weight is approximately 700-780g(longer and narrower).
If using softball to hit the ball would reduce baseball bat's using term.
