Baseball Gloves Maintenance:
1. When practicing, it is correct to catch the ball at pocket side of baseball gloves.
If catch ball with finger part then it would easily cause distortion for baseball gloves.
2. If trying to make baseball gloves to match your own hand-shape, then can spray a thin layer of little leather-moistening oil so it would make gloves-leather more soft.
However should notice that if spraying too many leather-moistening oil, then it would destry this baseball gloves' original color.
3. For most of baseball gloves are not customizedly-made, so certainly there are few parts of its design that can not match your own hand-shapes.
Due to most of baseball gloves are made with leather-strings; hence, users can untie then retie these leather-strings to reform gloves then make one to match your own hand-shape.
4. Baseball gloves are like all leather products and their biggest enemies are water and soil.
Its shape-adjustment maintenance method is as follows:
(1) When wet from raining- When gloves are wet from raining, firstly must dry water on leather; then absorb water with cloth or soft paper then hang them at air-ventilating place.
It is forbidded to lay baseball gloves directly dry under sunshine (for direct sunshine would harden and dry ouut these leather, then it would reduce baseball gloves' life).
It is also forbidded to lay half-dry baseball gloves under non-ventilating place to become moldy.
(2) When stained with dirts- When stained with directs, firstly brush off dirts with brushes, then wipe clean baseball gloves with towels or dry T-shits.
5. It is good enough to spray a thin layer of oil on baseball gloves.
Too much oil would cause gloves to become soft and heavy and are impossible to use.
Additionally, it is forbidded to use leather-hardening spray and oil over pocket area aof gloves.
If gloves become hard then it would largely decrease resistance from impacts towards ball-catching.
6. If spreading chemical-generatetd oil over baseball gloves, it would easily cause cracks or damages; it is better not to use them.
All types of maintenance oil are used based on immediate treatment after using.
After spreading, must not apply immediately, must wait one day to let it glow.
7. Leather Oil Using Method- Pick dry old socks or towels, then dig little oil (not too much), then wipe it with towels.
Slowly, then baseball gloves would absorb oil insdie then become bright; then remember to put one ball inside baseball gloves' ball-catching location(around hand between the thumb and the 2nd finger) in order to keep baseball gloves' ball shape.
If new gloves is very hard thenn can put ball in then tie gloves with shoe-laces.
Very quickly, baseball gloves would become soft, then with ball-shape. Would catch ball easily!
8. NOTE: Do not spread oil each time after playing balls.
After coming back from ball-game, wipe clean dirts with teeth-brushes. Otherwise, baseball gloves would become too heavy and soft.
Becuase leather sucks oil all in and becomes hard to catch balls.
